Binary Code Hearts
Friday, February 13
All day
McDonough Public Library
In celebration of Valentine’s Day, the McDonough Public Library will offer an opportunity for children ages 6-12 to engage in screen-free coding and crafting by creating binary code hearts. This self-guided activity will be available throughout the day.
Participants will learn how each letter of the alphabet corresponds to a unique binary code, consisting of the digits 1 and 0. Using pipe cleaners and beads in various colors, they will spell out short Valentine-themed words and transform their creations into heart shapes.
