Metro-Atlanta educators are invited to a complimentary summer evening event at the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore the Dorothy Chapman Fuqua Conservatory and Fuqua Orchid Center, showcasing world-class interpretations of tropical, desert, and high-elevation ecosystems, as well as the diverse array of plants within the 30-acre urban oasis. Attendees can also view Niki in the Garden, featuring 41 monumental sculptures, marking one of the largest presentations of the artist’s work in North America.
The event will include a performance by the Atlanta Shakespeare Company, presenting a youth adaptation of Midsummer, Junior!, a 45-minute rendition of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This performance, scheduled for 6:30 p.m., will highlight the talents of five professional actors and puppets, engaging the audience in this beloved story. Theatre for the Very Young productions cater to children aged 4-7 and are available for booking in local schools and camp programs for Spring/Summer 2024. Additionally, artists from the Atlanta Opera will perform selections of opera classics along with musical theater surprises at 4:30 p.m. The Atlanta Opera engages with over 70,000 students annually in the Metro Atlanta Area and aims to inspire creativity, foster critical discussions, and cultivate a lasting appreciation for the arts.
Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase. Educators (with ID*) and one guest are entitled to free admission.
Additional Adult Tickets are priced at $28.95, while Additional Child Tickets (Ages 3 – 12) are $25.95. Walk-ups are welcomed.
