On Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 3:00 PM, Spivey Hall will showcase the talents of renowned violinist Hilary Hahn, celebrated baritone Matthias Goerne, and award-winning pianist Yekwon Sunwoo in a captivating recital. This performance offers a unique chance to hear Hahn and Goerne both separately and together, featuring the world premiere of a new composition by Reena Esmail, specifically commissioned for this event.
Esmail, known for her ability to blend Western classical music with Hindustani influences, has garnered significant attention in the music world, having held notable residencies, including with the Seattle Symphony. This recital promises a rich exploration of shared musical perspectives, with Hahn’s lyrical violin playing complementing Goerne’s eloquent baritone voice.
