Saturdays at 10 a.m.: The Fuqua Conservatory lobby at the Atlanta Botanical Garden hosts public frog feedings, where visitors can observe the dynamic feeding behaviors of frogs. An amphibian specialist will be present to share interesting facts and address any questions regarding these fascinating creatures.
During the feedings, attendees can witness one of the most captivating aspects of amphibian life. Most frogs utilize long, sticky tongues to capture their prey, with some, such as Poison frogs, demonstrating remarkable speed and precision as they snatch flies. Others, like the fringed leaf frog, exhibit dramatic feeding techniques, using their hands to stuff crickets into their mouths.
