The High Museum in Atlanta will host an exhibition showcasing the works of Walter Wick, a renowned photographic illustrator in the United States. Over his decades-long career, Wick has produced award-winning books, including the I SPY! and Can You See What I See? series, which have garnered the attention of diverse audiences and inspired a sense of wonder through art, craft, and technology.
This exhibition marks the largest retrospective of Wick’s work to date, featuring his innovative storytelling approach through well-known pieces such as Yikes!, Clouds, and City Blocks from I SPY Fantasy. Additionally, the exhibit will include rarely seen photographs of optical illusions in nature and various three-dimensional models that served as the basis for his iconic images. The exhibition will explore themes that have long captivated Wick, encompassing miniature worlds, optical illusions, “I spy” games, puzzle challenges, and scientific marvels.
