The potential of watercolor in recording light and shadow on high-saturation reference images will be explored in this event. Participants will be encouraged to bring textural richness to their paintings through the use of strikingly different colors, fostering bold warm and cool dynamics.
“Drawing from Experience” is an ongoing series of drawing sessions at the High Museum in Atlanta, drawing inspiration from the museum’s campus and collection. Each session focuses on a unique approach to observing and capturing the world, allowing participants to express themselves personally while enhancing their drawing skills.
All materials will be provided during these sessions, although participants are welcome to bring their own supplies. Tickets include access to the galleries.
