Behind the Scenes of a High Voltage Puppet Show
The Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta invites participants to join Jason Hines, Artistic Director, for an enlightening behind-the-scenes journey into Tesla vs Edison, an award-winning puppet show for adults that dramatizes the historic rivalry between Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison during the War of the Currents.
In this online workshop, Hines will share the creative insights that contributed to the production, covering the initial concept, deep historical research, scriptwriting, puppet design, set construction, and the workshop development and rehearsal process. Attendees will gain an understanding of how these elements converged during the show’s opening performances.
