Participants can discover the ancient art of Suminagashi, also known as “floating ink,” as they create elegant, one-of-a-kind marbled patterns on water. The event will provide an opportunity to learn how to guide pigment rings across the surface of the water before transferring these designs onto absorbent Japanese paper. This meditative practice celebrates chance, breath, and the beauty of flowing color. Attendees will leave with paper or fabric bearing their printed designs. This event is hosted at the High Museum in Atlanta.
