A digital learning workshop for ages 3-8, conducted online via Zoom. Participants explore folktales through the story of The Gingerbread Boy, comparing versions from selected books including Jan Brett’s Gingerbread Baby, Ying Chang Compestine’s The Runaway Rice Cake, and Sandi Takayama’s The Musubi Man. The workshop includes a shadow puppet short film, an explanation of shadow puppetry techniques, a real puppet from the Center’s collection, and a hands-on activity to build a Gingerbread Boy shadow puppet. Designed for PreK-2nd grade students, the program lasts 45-50 minutes and costs $185 per group of up to 35 students. Booking is available on demand.
