This watercolor class aims to unlock creativity by exploring the world of watercolor painting while helping participants develop their unique artistic styles. Suitable for individuals at all skill levels, the class encourages experimentation with color, texture, and technique in a fun environment. Participants will learn at their own pace under the guidance of local artist and Sycamore Place Gallery owner, Sylvia Cross, who has been active in the Atlanta arts scene for 25 years. Instruction topics include:
- Color mixing, mark making, and drawing with a paintbrush
- Values and scale, and placement on the page
- Glazing techniques and painting to music
