The Marietta History Center is excited to unveil its 30th-anniversary exhibition titled “Marietta History Center at 30.” This retrospective showcases the museum’s journey since its founding in 1996, illustrating its growth into the historical hub of Marietta and Cobb County, all set within the historic Kennesaw House.
The exhibition is divided into four chronological chapters that reflect the institution’s evolution over three decades. It offers insights into the museum’s inner workings, highlighting the role of volunteers and the process through which artifacts are added to the collection. Special attention is given to the Kennesaw House, originally a cotton warehouse built in the 1840s, which has witnessed significant historical events including the Civil War.
The exhibition runs from January 31st through late Fall 2026. General admission is $10 for adults, while students and seniors (60+) pay $7. Free entry is available for members, children under 5, and active military and veterans.
