Marietta Art in the Park is celebrating its 40th anniversary this Labor Day weekend, bringing a delightful blend of art, community, and entertainment to the historic Marietta Square. This year features a juried Artist Market showcasing 200 talented artists from across the country. Attendees can explore a wide range of handcrafted works, including painting, photography, pottery, sculpture, and jewelry.
The event will also introduce an Artist Showcase, highlighting additional exceptional art and artists. Alongside the Artist Market, families can participate in the Chalk Spot street art experience on Saturday, September 5, where children can create their own chalk masterpieces. Each young artist will receive a box of chalk and tickets to the North Georgia State Fair, while benefiting the Marietta High School Visual Arts Program.
Children can also enjoy activities in the dedicated Children’s Art Alley, which includes games and crafts, many of which are free.
