Community Bulletin: Paws and Pastries 2026
The seventh annual dog socialization event, Paws and Pastries, is scheduled to take place from noon to 3 p.m. This event will feature a Dog Costume Contest, allowing participants to showcase their dogs’ attire.
Attendees can enjoy dog treats, prizes, tennis balls, water, and pastries. The event encourages socialization among dogs, which is essential for their development. There will be two fenced-in areas designated for smaller dogs and larger dogs.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own dog bowls and water to minimize sharing. Pre-registration is required before the event.
Costume Contest Details:
- Entries must be submitted by 12:30 p.m.; judging begins at 1:00 p.m.
- Costumes can be homemade or store-bought.
- Each entry is limited to one dog (owners may participate with their dogs).
- Categories include:
- Small (under 25 lbs.)
- Medium (25–60 lbs.)
- Large (60 lbs. and above)
- A “Best of Show” award will be presented for the top costume.
Participation in the costume contest is optional; attendees are welcome to enjoy the event as spectators.
