Program Overview: Established in 1987, Atlanta’s Traditional Okinawan Karate-do Dojo emphasizes traditional instruction in Shorin Ryu and Shudokan Karate-do. The program focuses on authentic karate practices, internal power development, and effective self-defense techniques. Training occurs within a cooperative and respectful environment, catering to beginners and experienced practitioners alike, promoting physical and mental strength.
The dojo does not teach sport karate, but rather the traditional methods developed over centuries. Moeller Sensei incorporates principles from T’ai Chi Ch’uan, Hung Gar Kung Fu, and Aikido, drawing from over 30 years of experience. Moeller Sensei is also the author of Karate-Do Foundations, published in 1995.
