Program Overview:
Atlanta’s Traditional Okinawan Karate-do Dojo, established in 1987, focuses on traditional instruction in Shorin Ryu and Shudokan Karate-do. The program emphasizes authentic karate that encompasses internal power development and self-defense techniques. Training is conducted in an environment of cooperation and respect, aimed at enhancing individual development. This dojo caters to both beginners and experienced practitioners, facilitating exploration of physical and mental strength in a modern context.
The instruction does not include sport karate; it is based on historical techniques suitable for self-defense, passed down through generations. Moeller Sensei, with over 30 years of experience in T’ai Chi Ch’uan, Hung Gar Kung Fu, and Aikido, integrates various martial principles into the training. Moeller Sensei is also the author of “Karate-Do Foundations,” published in 1995.
