The City of Sandy Springs will celebrate National Kids to Parks Day on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Hammond Park. This nationwide event encourages children and families to explore and appreciate local parks and public lands. It takes place annually on the third Saturday of May, promoting outdoor play, healthy living, and nature connection for all ages.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature a variety of free activities including games, prizes, inflatables, a DJ, temporary tattoos, and water slides. Food trucks will also be available on-site for those wishing to purchase food.
Sandy Springs’ parks provide opportunities for recreation and relaxation year-round, with numerous parks, trails, playgrounds, and natural spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy.
