Binary Code Hearts
Date: Friday, February 13
Time: All day
Location: McDonough Public Library
For Valentine’s Day, participants are invited to engage in a screen-free coding and crafting activity by creating binary code hearts. This self-guided activity will be available throughout the day and is intended for children aged 6 to 12.
Each letter of the alphabet corresponds to a unique binary code composed of the digits 1 and 0. Participants will utilize this coding system to spell out short Valentine-themed words using pipe cleaners and beads of various colors before transforming their creations into heart shapes.
