Printmaking with Colleen Dunbar
This hands-on course offers an exploration of printmaking, one of the oldest art forms. Participants will engage in both additive and subtractive print processes, creating a variety of unique art pieces. Suitable for beginners and those seeking to expand their skills, the course covers essential techniques in printmaking.
Course Highlights:
- Mastering the Linocut Process: Involves carving into linoleum to create bold designs, alongside hands-on experience with carving, inking, and using a press.
- Plexiglass Etching (No Acid Technique): Teaches a safe etching process that produces intricate designs without harmful chemicals.
- Creating a Collograph: Focuses on cutting shapes from thin cardboard and gluing them to create textured prints.
- Building a Printmaking Portfolio: Participants will complete a series of projects that culminate in a personal portfolio.
