Spivey Hall is set to host an engaging concert featuring renowned tenor Ian Bostridge and pianist Julius Drake on May 8, 2027, at 3:00 PM. Their program will showcase three significant song cycles by the composer Robert Schumann, composed during his prolific “Liederjahr” in 1840, which marked a pivotal moment in his life with his marriage to Clara Wieck. The pieces include Schumann’s Fünf Lieder (Hans Christian Andersen Settings), Op. 40, Liederkreis, Op. 39, and Kerner-Lieder, Op. 35.
