Salute to America

The City of Kennesaw will host its annual Independence Day celebration, Salute to America, on July 3 from 4 to 10 p.m. in Downtown Kennesaw. Admission is free.

The evening features live music from Rupert’s Orchestra, a 12-piece band known for its energetic performances, as well as food vendors and family-friendly activities. The event will culminate in a fireworks finale at 9:30 p.m., visible from Depot Park and along Main Street.

In addition to street vendors and sponsor booths, ticketed inflatable amusements for children will be available. A variety of entrées, cold beverages, and snacks can be purchased. Guests may bring picnic baskets or coolers; however, grills and coolers larger than 20 quarts are not allowed.

Reserved seating in the second-tier level of the turf can be reserved for $75 per chair starting May 18. Seating is limited and assigned randomly on a first-come, first-served basis.

Kennesaw city parks are designated “Breathe Easy Zones,” prohibiting tobacco products, smoking, and e-cigarettes. The event may be canceled or postponed due to inclement weather.

For further information, visit the Kennesaw Parks & Recreation website or call 770-422-9714.
