Retro Rewind: DIY Lava Lamps

Tweens and teens, ages 12 to 15, can travel back to the ’60s and explore chemistry by creating custom-colored lava lamps with household ingredients. Participants will mix oil, water, food coloring, and fizzing tablets to discover the science behind density and chemical reactions in this hands-on workshop.
