Daniil Trifonov, the acclaimed pianist and 2019 Musical America Artist of the Year, will perform at Spivey Hall on December 4, 2026, starting at 7:30 PM. Known for his extraordinary technique and passionate interpretations, Trifonov will present a diverse program featuring pieces from Handel, Stravinsky, and Schubert.
The evening will include Handel’s Suite in E Major, Stravinsky’s Piano Sonata, and Schubert’s Fantasie in C Major, followed by selected works from the Americas, including Trifonov’s own composition, Tango. The performance will conclude with Villa-Lobos’s vibrant Bachianas Brasileiras No. 4, showcasing a celebration of rhythm and imagination.
