The Marietta History Center is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a special exhibition titled “Marietta History Center at 30.” This retrospective examines the museum’s journey since its founding in 1996, showcasing its growth into a key historical resource for Marietta and Cobb County, all while being housed in the historic Kennesaw House.

The exhibition is arranged in four chronological chapters that detail the museum’s evolution over three decades. It provides insights into the crucial role of volunteers and the process of artifact acquisitions, while also highlighting the fascinating history of the Kennesaw House itself, which dates back to the 1840s.

Open from January 31st through late Fall 2026, the exhibition welcomes visitors at an admission cost of $10 for adults, $7 for students and seniors (60+), while members, children under 5, and active military and veterans can enter for free.

Located at the Marietta History Center, 1 Depot St NE, Marietta, GA, the exhibit aims to ignite curiosity about local history and connect people through engaging narratives. For more information, visit Marietta History Center’s website.
