On August 28, the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre in Marietta will host a screening of the beloved Disney classic, Mary Poppins. This enchanting film, featuring Julie Andrews as the practically perfect nanny, brings to life the adventures shared with the Banks family through the magic of music and imagination. Some of the iconic songs include “A Spoonful of Sugar,” “Chim Chim Cher-ee,” and the famously lengthy “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”
The fun begins at 8:00 pm and continues until 10:30 pm. A live pre-show concert on the Mighty Allen Theatre Organ will take place thirty minutes before the film starts, adding an extra layer of whimsy to the evening.
