The classic musical Parade is set to grace the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre, diving deep into themes of love, justice, and the impact of prejudice in early 20th-century America. This gripping tale unfolds in 1913 Georgia, where Leo Frank, a Jewish factory manager, faces accusations of murdering a young worker, Mary Phagan. As public sentiment sways and tensions escalate, Leo’s fate seems sealed in the court of public opinion.

Written by acclaimed playwright Alfred Uhry, with music by Jason Robert Brown, Parade intertwines personal struggle with broader societal issues. Leo’s fight for justice is mirrored by his wife Lucille, who emerges as a fierce ally, determined to clear his husband’s name in a community rife with fear and division.

The performance dates include September 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, and 20, with a special matinee on September 13 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Tickets are available through this link. The venue is located at 117 N Park Square, Marietta, GA.
