Frog Feeding Experience – Atlanta Botanical Garden

Frog Feeding Experience – Atlanta Botanical Garden
AEJuice I Want It All Bundle – Animation Toolkit

Saturdays at 10 a.m.: The Fuqua Conservatory lobby at the Atlanta Botanical Garden hosts frog feedings, where visitors can observe frogs in action as they leap for their meals. An amphibian specialist will be available to share interesting facts and answer questions about these fascinating creatures.

These public frog feedings provide a unique opportunity to witness the feeding behaviors of various amphibians. Most frogs utilize long, sticky tongues that extend rapidly to capture prey. For instance, Poison frogs demonstrate remarkable speed and accuracy, making the disappearance of flies nearly instantaneous. In contrast, some species, such as the fringed leaf frog, exhibit more theatrical feeding methods, using their hands to stuff crickets into their mouths.
