The High Museum of Art in Atlanta will feature the works of Walter Wick, a highly regarded photographic illustrator. Over the course of his career, Wick has created award-winning books, including the I SPY! and Can You See What I See? series, which have engaged readers of all ages and backgrounds by merging art, craft, and technology to inspire exploration and curiosity.
This exhibition represents the most extensive collection of Wick’s work to date, highlighting his storytelling techniques through well-loved pieces such as Yikes!, Clouds, and City Blocks from I SPY Fantasy. Also included are rarely displayed early photographs of optical illusions in nature and various three-dimensional models that serve as the foundation for his photography. Attendees can expect to delve into themes that have long sparked Wick’s interest, such as miniature worlds, optical illusions, “I spy” games, puzzle challenges, and the marvels of science.
