A terrarium is a miniature, self-sustaining ecosystem that offers a beautiful and practical way to incorporate plant life into both home and office environments. Participants will construct a terrarium using a variety of small plants, mosses, and decorative stones.
The workshop will be led by Terry Furuta of Terry Furuta Designs, a seasoned floral design professional with 45 years of experience. As a professor at the Ikenobo School of Ikebana, her designs draw inspiration from traditional principles. Furuta’s arrangements have garnered numerous awards at the Southeastern Flower Show and the Atlanta Orchid Society Show. For over a decade, she has also volunteered at the Fuqua Orchid Conservatory, creating orchid displays and contributing in various capacities at the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
