About the Guide
Scott Morris (he/him) is an architectural historian, cultural resource planner, and educator who was born and raised in Atlanta. He currently teaches students in Georgia State University’s Heritage Preservation program and consults on various art and design projects across the city.
Know Before Attending
This tour will commence on the Carroll Slater Sifly Piazza in front of the High Museum entrance and will cover approximately one mile of walking distance. Assistive-listening devices will be provided, and lightweight collapsible stools may be requested in advance. Please note that the Museum will be closed during the evening tour, and access to indoor spaces, including restrooms, will not be available.
About Art and About Walking Tours
The Art and About Walking Tours offer participants the opportunity to engage with Atlanta through art. These tours allow attendees to walk alongside local creatives, historians, and community members, focusing on topics such as public art, street art, architecture, and cultural histories. The tours occur throughout the year in various Atlanta neighborhoods, each covering a distance of 1 to 2 miles. Assistive-listening devices will be provided, and folding stools are available upon request.
Please note that in the event of heavy rain or storms, May 7 is reserved as a makeup date.
