Printmaking with Colleen Dunbar
This hands-on course offers an exploration of printmaking, delving into both additive and subtractive processes to create unique art pieces. Ideal for beginners and those looking to enhance their skills, the course provides essential techniques to foster creativity through printmaking.
Course Highlights:
- Mastering the Linocut Process: Participants will carve linoleum to create textured designs, gaining experience with carving, inking, and using a press for professional-quality prints.
- Plexiglass Etching (No Acid Technique): A “no acid” technique allows for intricate designs without harmful chemicals, ideal for detailed prints.
- Creating a Collograph: This technique involves cutting shapes from cardboard and gluing them to a thicker surface to achieve layered effects in prints.
- Building a Printmaking Portfolio: Projects throughout the course will contribute to a personal printmaking portfolio for exhibition, sale, or personal growth.
