Program Schedule:
The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program will take place on weekdays from June 8 through July 24, 2026. Please note that there will be no camp on June 19 or during the week of June 29.
Program Overview:
The CIT program is designed to provide youth with meaningful job experiences, preparing them for positions as camp counselors or recreation leaders. Participants will develop leadership skills, teamwork, and communication abilities, while assisting day camp counselors in organizing games and activities.
Volunteer Hours and Evaluation:
Participants will receive real-world job training and the opportunity to earn volunteer hours for school. Each participant will be evaluated at the end of the program, with a letter of participation sent to their school.
Application Process:
Registration does not guarantee participation. An additional interview process will be conducted to identify teens interested in leadership and career development. Interviews are scheduled from May 18 to May 22, and all applicants will be notified of their admission status by May 25.
