Celestial Perspectives, a solo exhibition featuring textile artwork by artist Jess Self, is currently on display at the Terri Strickland Cole Galleries. This installation transforms the space into a multi-dimensional portal, showcasing intricately hand-woven pieces that evoke the feel of a cosmic map and a textile labyrinth. Visitors are encouraged to engage with the installation, navigating through various forms, materials, and colors that invite contemplation of timelines and personal histories.

Jess Self, based in Decatur, GA, has a rich background in sculpture and education. Her work, which blends craft traditions with storytelling, explores themes of materiality and human experience. She holds an MFA in Sculpture from Georgia State University and a BFA from Warren Wilson College, with numerous exhibitions both nationally and internationally.

The exhibition runs on a schedule of Tuesday to Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Friday to Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission fees are $10 for adults, $8 for military personnel, students (ages 6-18 or with college ID), and seniors (65+). Museum members and children under 6 can enter for free.

For more details, visit the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art’s website at www.mariettacobbartmuseum.org or call 770-528-1444. The museum is located at 30 Atlanta Street, Marietta, GA 30060.
