Event: Bird Walk at Morgan Falls Overlook Park

Morgan Falls Overlook Park offers a diverse range of habitats, attracting various bird species throughout the year. Participants may observe mudflats that host shorebirds, lake areas with winter ducks and nesting Bald Eagles, as well as river, woodland, and field habitats with sparrows.

The walk will involve traversing wet grass, stairs, gently sloped pavement, and unpaved trails. A telescope and loaner binoculars will be provided. The event will commence at Overlook Park; participants are to meet in the parking lot and will then walk along the road to Morgan Falls Dam.

Parking Information:
At the end of Morgan Falls Road, take a right into the free parking lot at Overlook Park. Restroom facilities are available.

Directions:
From GA400, exit at Northridge Road, heading west until the road dead ends at Roswell Road. Turn left onto Roswell Road and drive 1.2 miles. Turn right at the light onto Morgan Falls Road. At the end of this road, turn right to enter Overlook Park.
