Program Overview:
Atlanta’s Traditional Okinawan Karate-do Dojo, established in 1987, provides traditional instruction in Shorin Ryu and Shudokan Karate-do. The dojo emphasizes authentic martial arts techniques aimed at fostering both physical strength and internal power development for effective self-defense. Training is designed to benefit individuals across all skill levels in a supportive environment that promotes cooperation and mutual respect.
The dojo does not focus on sport karate but adheres to traditional Okinawan practices that have been passed down through generations. Instruction includes principles and drills inspired by T’ai Chi Ch’uan, Hung Gar Kung Fu, and Aikido, as taught by Moeller Sensei, who has over 30 years of experience in these disciplines and authored “Karate-Do Foundations” in 1995.
