Program Overview:
The Atlanta Traditional Okinawan Karate-do Dojo, established in 1987, focuses on traditional instruction in Shorin Ryu and Shudokan Karate-do. The program emphasizes authentic karate, integrating both internal power development drills and effective self-defense techniques. Training occurs in a supportive and respectful environment, catering to both beginners and experienced practitioners.
The dojo aims to empower individuals physically and mentally, fostering strength in various aspects of development. The curriculum is rooted in traditional karate practices that have been passed down for generations, without the inclusion of sport karate. Moeller Sensei, who has over 30 years of experience in martial arts, also incorporates elements from T’ai Chi Ch’uan, Hung Gar Kung Fu, and Aikido. He is the author of “Karate-Do Foundations,” published in 1995.
