The Marietta History Center will unveil its milestone 30th-anniversary exhibition, titled “Marietta History Center at 30.” This retrospective exhibition explores the museum’s development since its founding in 1996, highlighting its role as the historical hub for Marietta and Cobb County, situated in the historic Kennesaw House.

The exhibition is divided into four chronological chapters, showcasing the museum’s growth over three decades. It offers visitors insights into essential museum functions, such as the significance of volunteers and the process for accepting artifacts into the permanent collection. The Kennesaw House, originally constructed in the 1840s as a cotton warehouse and later transformed into a hotel, is a focal point of the display. The building’s resilience during the Civil War and the burning of Marietta is also emphasized.

The calendar listing is for May 15, when the exhibition will be open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The broader exhibition will continue through late Fall 2026. Admission fees are set at $10 for adults, $7 for students and seniors (60+), while members, children under 5, and active military and veterans can enter for free.
