The Lake Authority is a five-member board, with the elected Mayor serving as the Chairman. The remaining four members are appointed by the Mayor and the Board. This group of citizens provides input and engagement in the operation, management, and development of master plans for Federally leased properties around Lake Acworth. The Lake Authority holds meetings at the Acworth Community Center, located at 4361 Cherokee Street, on the first Monday of each month at noon.
