The Marietta History Center is celebrating its milestone 30th anniversary with the exhibition “Marietta History Center at 30,” open from January 31 through late Fall 2026. This special exhibition provides a retrospective look at the museum’s journey since its founding in 1996, showcasing its evolution and key moments in its history.

The exhibit is thoughtfully organized into four chronological sections that highlight the museum’s growth and features a closer look at the Kennesaw House, the historic venue that has housed the museum since its inception. Originally built in the 1840s, this building has served various purposes and has a storied past, including surviving the Civil War and the burning of Marietta.

Admission is priced at $10 for adults, $7 for students and seniors (60+), while members, children under five, and active military and veterans can enter for free. The exhibition is a great opportunity to explore the meaning of community history and the role of museums in preserving collective memory.

Details about the exhibition can be found on the Marietta History Center’s website at mariettahistory.org. The center is located at 1 Depot St NE, Marietta, GA, and is open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
