The Marietta History Center is excited to celebrate its 30th anniversary with the exhibition “Marietta History Center at 30.” This special retrospective showcases the museum’s journey from its founding in 1996 to its current role as a key historical institution for Marietta and Cobb County, all housed in the iconic Kennesaw House.

The exhibition is structured in four chronological chapters, highlighting the museum’s development over the past three decades. Visitors will get a unique glimpse into the museum’s inner workings, learning about the significance of volunteers and how artifacts are incorporated into the permanent collection. A notable feature is the history of the Kennesaw House, which dates back to the 1840s and has a rich past, including surviving the Civil War.

This celebratory exhibition emphasizes the museum’s commitment to preserving history and engaging the community through compelling stories and experiences. The event will run from January 31st through late Fall 2026, and admission costs are $10 for adults, $7 for students and seniors, while members, children under 5, and active military and veterans enter free.

The Marietta History Center is located at 1 Depot St NE, Marietta, GA. For more information, visit their website at mariettahistory.org.
