The upcoming walking tour, led by local artist Peter Ferrari, will focus on new murals created for the Forward Warrior festival, which Ferrari founded and curates. This annual festival celebrates the evolution of public art.
Participants will explore the historic neighborhood of Cabbagetown, gaining insights into the murals that adorn Wylie Street and learning about the artists responsible for their creation. Ferrari will also discuss his curatorial process and the festival’s progression over the years.
The tour is scheduled to begin at the intersection of Wylie Street S.E. and Carroll Street S.E., covering approximately one mile. Limited street parking is available in Cabbagetown. Assistive listening devices will be provided, and lightweight collapsible stools can be requested in advance.
