Frog Feeding Excursion – Atlanta Botanical Garden

Frog Feeding Excursion – Atlanta Botanical Garden
AEJuice I Want It All Bundle – Animation Toolkit

Saturdays at 10 a.m.: The Fuqua Conservatory lobby at the Atlanta Botanical Garden hosts public frog feedings, allowing visitors to observe the feeding behaviors of various frog species. An amphibian specialist will provide insights and answer questions about these fascinating creatures.

During the feedings, attendees can witness one of the most intriguing aspects of amphibian life—their feeding techniques. Many frogs utilize long, sticky tongues that extend rapidly to capture prey. Species such as Poison frogs demonstrate remarkable speed and precision, making prey such as flies appear to vanish instantly. In contrast, other species, like the fringed leaf frog, exhibit unique feeding behaviors, using their hands to aid in consuming crickets.
