The Atlanta Botanical Garden invites Girl Scouts and their families to explore and discover the wonders of nature. Attendees can visit discovery stations focused on topics such as bees and pollination, musical instruments made from plants, insect-eating plants, and various seeds from 10 a.m. to noon. Additionally, an encore exhibition of artist Niki de Saint Phalle’s monumental sculptures will be featured, celebrating the Garden’s 50th anniversary. This exhibition includes 42 vibrant works, notably her iconic “Nanas,” and is recognized as the largest presentation of her art shown in North America.
Rene and Llilian of Havana Son will perform at 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., leading a musical tour through Latin America that includes highlights from Cuba, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Panama, and Puerto Rico. Children will have the opportunity to experience the diverse rhythms and sounds of these cultures.
Atlanta Botanical Garden fun patches will be available for purchase in the Gift Shop.
