The High Museum of Art in Atlanta will feature the exhibition Photography as a Way of Life: Minor White, Aaron Siskind, and Harry Callahan. This exhibition examines the overlapping careers of Minor White, Aaron Siskind, and Harry Callahan, who were profoundly influential photographers, teachers, and thinkers during the mid-twentieth century. Amid the growing recognition of photography as an art form in the 1950s and 60s, these artists redefined the medium and established a devoted audience for their work, significantly shaping the aspirations of that era.

Members will have the opportunity to preview the exhibition on Thursday, October 8, 2026.

The High Museum will serve as the exclusive Southeast venue for this touring exhibition. It will draw from the extensive holdings of the Princeton University Art Museum and its Minor White Archive, showcasing iconic and previously unpublished color and black-and-white prints, rarely seen slides, and a variety of published and archival materials.

Preregistration is required for entry. Visitors are advised to arrive at their designated time to avoid overcrowding in the galleries.
