On June 27, the Marietta Performing Arts Center will host a special theater presentation titled Revisiting Zion: The Story of 88 Brave Souls. This event pays tribute to the enduring spirit of freedom through the stories of eighty-eight formerly enslaved individuals whose impact is still felt today.
Two performances will take place, with a matinee at 2:00 p.m. and an evening show at 6:00 p.m. Ticket prices for the matinee are $30 for adults and $10 for children aged 12 and under. The evening performance costs $35 for adults, with children’s tickets again priced at $10.
The presentation will feature video segments from Beverly Austin’s stage play Zion, reflecting on themes of courage and perseverance that remain central to America’s narrative.
