Program Overview:
The Atlanta Traditional Okinawan Karate-do Dojo, established in 1987, focuses on traditional instruction in Shorin Ryu and Shudokan Karate-do. The program emphasizes authentic karate practices that encompass personal development, self-defense techniques, and internal power building. Training is conducted in a cooperative environment, suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners, fostering physical and mental strength.
The dojo does not promote sport karate; instead, it teaches techniques and principles rooted in centuries-old Okinawan traditions. Instruction also integrates concepts from T’ai Chi Ch’uan, Hung Gar Kung Fu, and Aikido, with Moeller Sensei bringing over 30 years of experience to the program. Moeller Sensei is the author of “Karate-Do Foundations,” published in 1995.
