Program Overview:
Atlanta’s Traditional Okinawan Karate-do Dojo, established in 1987, focuses on traditional instruction in Shorin Ryu and Shudokan Karate-do. The program emphasizes not only the physical aspects of martial arts but also internal power development and self-defense techniques. The dojo fosters an environment of cooperation and mutual respect, aiming to strengthen individuals in various aspects of their development.
The training is suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners. The dojo does not teach sport karate; instead, it adheres to centuries-old unarmed techniques. Moeller Sensei also integrates principles and drills from T’ai Chi Ch’uan, Hung Gar Kung Fu, and Aikido, and is the author of Karate-Do Foundations, published in 1995.
