The Marietta History Center has announced the opening of its 30th-anniversary exhibition titled “Marietta History Center at 30.” This exhibit highlights the museum’s development from its establishment in 1996 to its present role as a key historical resource for Marietta and Cobb County, located in the historic Kennesaw House.
Organized into four chronological sections, the exhibition not only chronicles significant events in the museum’s history but also provides insights into its operations, including the vital roles played by volunteers and the process of artifact acquisition. A special focus is placed on the Kennesaw House, originally built in the 1840s and known for enduring the Civil War and the burning of Marietta.
The exhibition will run from January 31 through late Fall 2026. Admission costs are $10 for adults, $7 for students and seniors (60+), while members, children under 5, and active military and veterans can enter for free.
