The High Museum of Art in Atlanta hosts a monthly art conversation program titled Musing Together, tailored specifically for individuals with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, along with their care partners. Each session is led by museum staff who facilitate engaging discussions centered on four to six artworks from the museum’s collection or special exhibitions.
This month’s focus will be on works from The Family Album of Ralph Eugene Meatyard and Blazing Light: Photographs by Mimi Plumb.
Participants will have the opportunity to examine the artworks closely, share their observations and insights, learn about the pieces, and connect with one another in a supportive setting. Assistive listening devices and lightweight collapsible stools will be provided for each session.
The registration fee is $5 per person, and participants can register by clicking the ticket button on the museum’s website. A “Know Before You Go” email will be sent to registrants prior to the program, containing details on transportation, parking, and other pertinent information.

Know Before You Go
Upon arrival, attendees should present their QR code tickets to a Guest Relations team member at the Admissions and Information desk. They will then proceed to the check-in cart located in the Taylor Lobby, where the group will gather before entering the galleries.
