All ages are welcome, but this event primarily supports younger players (ages 6-13). Parents of elementary age children must be nearby at all times. Parents of older children are also advised to stay in the library. Children are strongly recommended to bring one of the following to participate: smartphone / tablet for Pokémon Go, Nintendo Switch to play Pokémon games, or Pokémon trading cards for trading or battling. While not a frequent occurrence, theft of Pokémon cards has happened in the past. Parents must sign a weekly Pokémon Theft Acknowledgement Waiver before dropping children off. Players 13 years or older may sign their own form. This paperwork outlines the responsibilities of children, parents, and players to watch their own belongings to prevent theft or loss.
